Young Kathak dancer Ms. Charvi B. Kashyap has been awarded the prestigious Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) Scholarship for the academic year 2025–26, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey. A dedicated student of the Amrapali Institute of Arts, Guwahati, Charvi is undergoing rigorous training in Kathak under the esteemed celebrated Kathak Guru duo Rudra Jayanta Bhagawati and Dr. Pranaame Bhagawati, widely recognized for their contribution to classical dance in Assam.
Charvi is the daughter of Biswajit Borah and Bandita Borah. Alongside her artistic pursuits, she is currently a Grade VI student at The Green School International. Her achievement reflects both her dedication to the classical art form and the strong foundation provided by her mentors and institution.
On her achievement her Guru Dr. Pranaame Bhagawati says, “It is indeed a great momentum to receive this prestigious CCRT scholarship for upcoming young school going talents. In the time wherein we are struggling for propagation of our traditional arts, achievements as such truly contribute to its growth factor.”
