The Government of Assam recently on September 17th, organised an artistes' felicitation programe namely Shilpi Sambardhana Samaroh at the Sankaradeva Auditorium in Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati (Assam). The event was coordinated and managed by the Cultural Cell, Assam Pradesh State BJP. This special event was celebrated on the eve of the 70th birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A number of 72 artistes who are skilled, eminent, having contributed their arts all their life were felicitated. These chosen artistes coming from districts all over Assam and representing various ethnic communities were honoured in the said program.
Honourable Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and State BJP President Ranjit Dass, along with State Minister for State Naba Kumar Doley, renowned Assamese intellectual and former President of Assam Sahitya Sabha Kanak Sen Deka and special invited guest Ram Madhav, National General Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party graced this one of a kind program with their benign presence.
